How do you ensure that your soup kitchen is safe?
Our staff and volunteers are DBS checked and undergo training to deal with potential safeguarding issues that might arise in the soup kitchen. We follow the guidelines set by the City and Hackney Safeguarding Adults Board (CHSAB).
How can I best support The Chicken Soup Shelter?
At The Chicken Soup Shelter, we are completely reliant on donations from individuals and charitable organisations. In order to continue expanding our range of services we are constantly in need of financial contributions from generous individuals. Please go to the donate page to make your contribution.
Is your soup kitchen for Jews only?
Absolutely not. Our soup kitchen is the only one in London that meets the dietary requirements of orthodox Jews, but we are open to the whole community and we serve anyone who walks though our doors, no questions asked.
